Chapter 2-Fire on the Mountain:
1.     What does the small boy with the mulberry birthmark tell the assembly?
a.    That he and the other small boys called Littluns see a "snake thing" or "beasties" at night.
2.    How does Ralph calm the boys?
a.    He tells them that there are no such thing as beasties.
3.    What does Ralph plan to do to help the boys get rescued?
a.    He wants to light a fire to signal the boys to where they are.
4.    Why do the boys suddenly need Piggy’s “specs”?
a.    They need to use his glasses to spark a fire using the suns rays.
5.    For what job does Jack volunteer his choir?
a.    He volunteers himself and his choir to keep the signal fire going.

6.    Golding the author gives us clues as to when this story might be taking place. What year do you think the story takes place and what are the clues given?
a.    The book takes place around WWII, due to the discussion in the beginning of the novel when they mention the atom bomb and navy.
7.    What are some of the rules that Ralph introduces to the assembly? How do they compare to the rules you made in your stranded simulation? Do they make sense?
a.    Only the person holding the conch can speak, everyone person has a job.
